Bob Ellis works as manager and principal for Gulf Coast Regional Center, LLC, based in New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition, he serves as a partner for the New Orleans law firm of Canlas Ellis. A member of several professional organizations, Bob Ellis joined the Association of Inspectors General (AIG) in 2009.
Established in 1996, the AIG establishes the standards and practices for inspectors general offices. The organization maintain 10 local chapters that offer training and networking opportunities for its members. One of the events sponsored by the AIG is its annual training conference.
The 2016 event is scheduled for November 16 through 18 in Boston, Massachusetts. With a theme of “20 Years of the AIG: The Evolving Role of the Inspector General,” the conference will cover a variety of topics, including health care fraud, contract monitoring, and transit systems. It also includes breakout sessions and networking opportunities with more than 150 professional working in local, state, federal, and private groups scattered across the globe. In addition to the networking and seminar options, attendees can receive continuing professional education credits that go toward AIG designations.
